Infant Class

For 3-12 months.  Student-to-educator ratio is typically 3:1.

Turning Sun’s Infant Class is a special environment for students between 3-12 months old as of Aug 1.  We understand that it may be difficult to send your infant to school for the first time. Our gentle, caring educators will welcome you and your infant into our community, supporting this transition so that trusting relationships and secure attachments are formed. The children will be greeted daily with beautiful and engaging invitations for exploration and play planned by the educators based on developmentally appropriate practices and the evolving interests of the students. Children have the choice to explore many different materials in a safe and nurturing environment. Educators interact with infants on their level and tailor napping and feeding schedules to the needs of each individual child. The Infant Class also enjoys regular music classes and garden time with TSS’s Environmental Educator.  Infant classes are not always offered at all TSS campuses and starting ages can vary, so contact your local campus for details.
