All Turning Sun Campuses feature:
- indoor and outdoor classrooms
- an atelier (art studio)
- playgrounds filled with natural sandboxes and materials
- organic vegetable and flower gardens with raised beds
- welcoming grassy areas for families to congregate before and after school
"Clairmont" is our first campus and occupies the educational wing of CCUCC church at 2676 Clairmont Road in the North Druid Hills neighborhood. Clairmont is filled with natural light from huge floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking our outdoor spaces. The building is surrounded by 12 acres of forest with trails that wind through azaleas, over a bridge, and end at an amazing creek. Clairmont's garden also features a "pizza pie" bed filled with herbs and a tea garden the shape of a half moon.
East Lake Campus
"East Lake," our second campus, resides in the educational building of ELUMC church on the corner of Hosea L. Williams and 5th Avenue, just a few blocks from Oakhurst Village. Classes often go on neighborhood walks to explore our vibrant, in-town neighborhood. East Lake features TSS' largest Atelier (art studio) which features huge, built-in light tables, open spaces for yoga and dance parties, and cozy nooks for small group materials exploration. East Lake's gardens were designed by a sustainability designer, who took into consideration light and water needs as well as the needs of the school.
Our third campus opened for its first day in August 2018. TSS Tucker lives in the Educational Building of LRUMC church at 3142 Lawrenceville Highway in Tucker just north of I-285. It features a massive 5000 square foot playground, surrounding hiking trails, and acres of grassy areas for families to congregate before and after school.
